Nuclear Medicine

What is Nuclear Medicine?

Nuclear Medicine Imaging is a study in which a small amount of radioactive tracer is injected into the bloodstream and delivered to the tissue. This substance gives off energy, which is then detected by a special nuclear medicine camera, allowing a unique visualisation of how the body is functioning.

At MMI, we offer a range of nuclear medicine studies including (but not limited to) the following. Click on each study to download more detailed information.
